Some folks out there like to think it's a man's world we live in. I am not one of those folks. In fact, I often partake in many activities associated with being a man like wielding an axe or fighting a bear for instance (okay, it was a stuffed bear, but he was tough). I've even been known to sport a tie or two here and there. Personally, I prefer the necktie and Pomp & Ceremony makes some fabulous ones in classic Liberty of London Prints. I personally own this one here and have worn it quite frequently, often with very flattering results.

I may have found the perfect statement piece to ease the always difficult transition into fall. I have been vehemently trying to avoid that word for the past week or so, but there's no denying that the end of summer is quietly approaching. Retail therapy is definitely necessary, and my first order of business is this amazing spiky, tribal meets rocker piece of loveliness. Home Sweet Home

I recently purchased the above bracelet from Netherlands graphic and jewelry designer Lisanne Janssen. What first attracted me to the design was the inscription "home is where your heart is." Written in her grandmother's handwriting, Lisanne has managed to package the sentiment perfectly by including small images of her grandmother with the bracelet. To further that point, she puts it all in a gorgeous Lokta box with the word "home" letter pressed on top. I actually loved the whole experience of this purchase and have worn the bracelet every day since I received it. To top it all off, it also makes me feel good since the piece is entirely fair trade and handcrafted in Nepal. Now that is what I call the total package.
