There is nothing quite like a good, tailored coat. It's an investment that can make or break an entire outfit. So when I saw this tomato red stunner over at Cupcakes and Cashmere, I knew it was time to fork out some cash. You can find it here at Shopbop, along with this shorter red and white number that is, unfortunately, a little out of my price range. But a girl can dream right?

I think I've just found the perfect summer outfit - long weekends here I come! What could be better than a red romper and floral blazer, both by Alice + Olivia. I love outfits that work for a multitude of occasions (although I am specifically envisioning myself in this look on a patio with a nice cold one).  And for those of us who have a bit of a lighter pocket at the moment, I found similar pieces under $100, from Zara and Urban Outfitters. You could also shake this up a bit and try an easy breezy floral romper and bright red blazer. Now, if you'll excuse me I have a bit of shopping I must tend to.
