Tree Time

Looking to update your tree decor? Search no further. LEIF has beautiful and quirky tree ornaments that do the job for you! From sparkling beetles to porcelain pinecones, you can really have the Christmas tree you've always pined for (I thought you'd like that one). I am also currently admiring these glittering salad servers. Perfect for during and after the holiday season!

Ruby Tuesday

If you've started your holiday shopping already, you're ten steps ahead of me. Catbird appears to have my back this year though. With a few sections dedicated to their favourite gifts, shopping is a breeze. Wouldn't this tray look lovely in the bedroom or holding a few items on your coffee table? I love the oddity of it, while still looking so pretty.

Fall into Chevron

Thanksgiving is upon us fellow Canadians. If you are looking for a cute, but not corny (pun intended) project to tastefully bring you into the autumn season, look no further. Melaine Thompson at My Sweet Savannah shows us how to do an affordable and pretty fall chevron pumpkin. Let me know how yours turns out!

Living Pretty

I kept seeing wire baskets everywhere online, but wasn't sure where one could actually purchase these amazing vintage pieces. House Doctor, an online shop, appears to have just about any wire storage item you could ever want or need! Smaller baskets with handles to hold cosmetics or washroom essentials, larger ones for storing pretty quilts and blankets, and the list goes on and on. Too many to choose from actually. I might have to buy more than a few...

Paper Love

During a recent visit to my favourite local boutique, Leslie's I was given a copy of Issue No. 4 of the 5-piece-paper magazine. 5-piece-paper is created by the 5preview brand and words cannot describe how much I love all of the imagery in it. The first shoot in the magazine is my favourite. A rainbow of colours and a plethora of interesting objects can have you staring at the pages over and over again. Sized at approximately 14 x 10.5 ", the pages are also perfect for hanging around my apartment. Check out the current issue on 5preview's blog.

Party Party

If parties are on your mind as the long weekend approaches, you definitely need to check out Confetti Systems. Made up of BFF duo Nicholas Anderson and Julie Ho, Confetti Systems takes simple materials and gives us more of a temporary installation opposed to regular decorations that don't necessarily work with the physical space they are put in. The installations are colourful, transient and interact with a specific environment and audience, creating an endearing and often giddy ambiance. Perfect for sipping a delicious cocktail.

Ruby Tuesday

Love, love, love this smattering of red from Diana Rikasari over at Hot Chocolate and Mint. The scarf/hat combo is so beachy, elegant that it makes me want summer to never end. And someone please tell me why I have yet to decorate my apartment with red bird cut-outs?! A simple, yet cheerful decor idea is on its way.

Sunday Best

This girl does it all. Kendra Robinson's blog, The Ruffle House, features personal style, interior design, art, DIY projects and more. Her modern, yet glamorous style is to be desired, as are her perfect Little Mermaid-esque locks. Kendra's outfits are never too fussy, but always seem to have a standout piece that really dazzles. I also came across this amazing embroidered wall that I am dying to try. It would be really lovely on a bathroom wall above the tub.
