I can see clearly now

Yes, summer is almost within our reach, the rain clouds are clearing and that means time for new sunglasses! Now, if you're anything like me, you will go through at least 4 pairs of sunglasses throughout the warmer months. Between purse scratches and accidentally sitting/stepping on them, they meet their end much too soon. Taking this into consideration, I generally do not like to spend very much on them. Aldo Accessories to the rescue! I couldn't believe the cuteness found in so many pairs in one location. Can't choose between tortoise shell and mint? Not a big deal when the the frames are colour-blocked. Pastels are definitely not just for spring this year. Peach ombre, yes please. I am in serious like with this pair, that shows just a touch of peach on the inside of the arms. Oh, and did I mention each pair is a measly $12.00?

Finding an interesting rug for your home is a fairly simple task. Finding an interesting and unique rug that one can afford is a different story. In walks Korhani, a Canadian decor company, who prides itself in quality and value. Bonus feel-good: their manufacturing facility based in Quebec adheres to strict environmental practices. Their retail textiles are cute, but what really gets me is the online collection. Boasting of collaborations with several big magazines, such as Style at Home and Elle Canada, Korhani is making quite a name for itself. I love the bunnies in the image shown so much! My personal favourite though is the one my lovely boyfriend just purchased for my birthday, which can be seen here. I wish I could have one for each room in my apartment! I have already chosen the Lottie-Cream for my dining room, and at $130 for the 79" x 104" size it may become a reality sooner rather than later.

I Heart Art

January is generally a month when we could use a little, or maybe even a lot, of inspiration to get us through to spring. Well, I’m pretty sure I’ve found mine (and hopefully yours)! Art Interiors, an online and real life gallery in Toronto, features up and coming artists at affordable pricing. Their philosophy is that everyone should be able to own art. I could not agree more. The online store allows you to search by price range, purchase online, and have the art piece shipped or prepared for pick up.  Buying art from the comfort of your own home is possible.

The gallery is currently featuring their 18th Annual Festival of Smalls. Each work is no larger than 16x20” and the cost is kept under $250. It’s impossible to choose just one!
